First Berries

Eating fruit in season? Then you must surely be eating BLUEBERRIES!!!

We have been patient for the last 2 years. Pruning the buds from blossoming branches, hoping to create a healthier bush, watering, weeding, hoopla-ing and netting. Keeping the deer at bay and the birds away have brought us to our first harvest. A bit small, but satisfying one none the less.

We have three varieties to keep us in berries through Sept. We had thought of doing u-pick but after realizing that we would need to net the rows and that we are only harvesting half of the berries, we will fill the freezer first then let you know what’s available.

Look at the size of these! WOW!
